Bilstein 5100 Shocks

Hello,
I just purchased 4 front and 2 rear Bilstein shocks for my F350 and will be installing them today, but my question is I have seen them mounted 2 ways (With the rubber boot up and also inverted) which is the correct way?

All mine are boot up. I run rancho 9000s though. I can say I've always ran them boot up on all of my trucks. I see what your talking about though with the blistens

Mine are boot down. I do believe they have both versions, the difference being the way the names read on the body of the shock.

Are the shocks for the front valved for duals or did you just buy an extra set of fronts?

My truck came with dual shock setup thus I ordered 2 fronts and 1 rear, not sure the reference to "Valved for duals"....

The stud and bolt sizes usually dictate direction. Doesn't really matter which way as long as the bolts go back in their respective holes. Just did my 99 Super Duty this a,m. as well. 148,000 mi.......they needed it. LOVE THE 5100"s.....feels like a new truck. NOW.....tires.
