Looking for the internal plastic throttle piece inside the spring.
Mine seems to be broken and bending crooked. Anybody know what it's called and maybe also have the napa part number? Thanks
I don't think you would be able to fix it. I don't think there is a way to take it apart to even get to that piece, especially since it's actually part of the whole throttle cable housing. You can buy a new one for pretty cheap.
I've taken mine off and had the same issue. I ended up doing something completely different, but you can just pick up a new one for around $20 or so...
Alright thanks I guess I will have to order a whole new cable.
I was also wondering if this spring looks set up right? It had no little spring, maybe it broke off so I took a little spring of a 77 460. Not sure what this lever does or where it should sit. Any help is appreciated!
Also anybody know what this screw is found it on the passenger side of my intake manifold.
That looks like the screw to adjust the transmission kickdown rod to the carb. It's the screw that you can barely see behind the orange kickdown bar in this pic...
I had to rig my throttle cable with a clamp and some rubber where it meets the fire wall. I can't find a new one,1986 f150 4.9. I just did that yesterday.

Or it could be the idle adjustment screw?
I think I might have found where it goes. It looks like it might be a stop screw for the choke side of the carb. Not to sure how to set it up though
