i put a mustang tank in my 52. I think its 22 or 24 gallons. I have some pictures in my gallery. I moved one of the frame crossmembers to make it fit. Works good.

I'm doing a frame swap from a 1998 Ranger and the gas tank is 20 gallons (ext cab). I believe the fuel lines at 5/16 but you would need to upgrade the pump if you've got a lot of HP. The driver's side shock would have to be relocated from forward facing to axle to rear facing. Since the frame span from left to right is about the same as my 1950 F1 it should fit between the left frame and the driveshaft of the original frame. Also the front crossmember may have to be modified. The tank is plasic, so it will clean out with soap and water - I know this. Just get measurements at the yard first.

I have a 52 F-1 and got my tank from "Tanks Inc." It's a universal one which I mounted under the bed. Fabbed the frame around it and bolted that to the frame of the truck. The filler tube is flush with the bed floor when it was done.

It came from Tanks Inc. with tank itself. You can either a threaded bung or a regular twist type for any of their thanks. I don't have there web address in front of me, but just google tanks inc and I'm sure you'll find it.
