2008 f250 nav/radio touch screen rarely works!
Help!
have a 2008 f250 6.4 fx4 with factory nav and radio touch screen, has the factory sub in the rear,
i bought the truck with the nav/radio not working - its black screen but is lit as you can clearly see at night time
i took it in to ford they plugged in and said its pooched so they say
few days later i start my truck in -25 degrees and the nav screen lights right up, does this initilaizing, installation, etc and boom - works perfect, the nav, the radio the cd, everything worked as it should!
i shut the truck off thinking everything is self fixed but next time i get in truck black screen but cd still playing and controls are working but no display, soon after turning truck on and off - nothing worked - just a black screen.
sometimes it tries to initialize and then shuts off but rarely, its usually just a black screen and nothing works.
i was planning on replacing the entire system with an aftermarket but id hate to spend $800 if i dont have too. im hoping its something that someone has also experienced and fixed.
