Long crank when warm

Hey guys, I come to seek your advice once again. Truck starts normal when cold but when gets warm after driving cranks for about 2-4 seconds before starting up. This just happened a month ago. Before it would start up easier when warm. '92 F-350 460 107,000 newer plugs, wires, cap and rotor recently. Haven't changed fuel filter in a while..

Define "newer" plugs.......if they are not brand new it's worth it to pull them out and inspect.

You already let out the fuel filter has not been changed in a while. So change it, it's a routine maintenance item.

Do you have dual tanks? If so, does the issue happen on both?

What is the base timing set to?

Fuel pressure during cold start?

Fuel pressure during warm start?

Any other parts replaced prior to this issue starting?

New plugs 7,000 miles ago. Does it on both tanks, haven't checked pressure or timing but was slogged recently and everything was were it should be. I'll try to change the filter soon. It just started doing this about a month ago. Before this, it started up easier and faster when warm. It literally was idling as it cranked.

Since the problem happens on both tanks it does point to something in common with both. Start with the filter. Also not a bad idea to recheck the timing just in case the distributor turned a bit.

Thanks a lot rla2005

Ill try to do filter this weekend. I tried about a year ago but couldn't get the line to separate with the tool. Maybe I need the metal ones... Plus I have the skid plates in the way and im kind of a larger feller lol

Does it crank slower? My 460 got to the point where it would barely turn over when warm. I put in a NEW starter and has lasted me about 6 months with no problems.
