Move forces sale of my project, a 1978 F100 Custom. Located in Ames, Iowa. I'm asking 1200 OR BEST OFFER. Here's some more about the truck:

It would be an "easy" revival for a guy that can spin a wrench and has some space. Needs brakes and engine overhauled, but I have 3 engines for it, and 2 transmissions First is the original 302/C4. Needs bearings, but could otherwise be cleaned up and put back together with a hone and re-ring. I also have a 302 roller block, .060 over as well as a '76 or so 460/c6 that would fit the truck. Have a set of bare D00E heads too if anyone is into hot shot iron heads anymore. Probably a bunch of other extras lurking about here too. You'll be getting lots of parts!

Clean IA title, and current registration, I have a bunch of original paper work for it including the protect-o-plate and the build sheet. Body is solid, with a little typical wheel well rust, and surface rust on the roof and hood where the paint has peeled. Cab and floors are great, it even had a new OEM steering sector installed in the mid 90's, the steering is the nicest I can remember on one of these.

Make me a reasonable offer- I need to sell ASAP, and am not trying to get over on anyone, but there's a lot of stuff here! Whoever ends up with it will get a lot of bang for the buck- I'll miss this old truck! Thanks for looking. PM me if you're interested.




Interior in good shape for age. Dash has sun damage.





Steering wheel good, usual separation at seams , but not bad.





Odo hasn't been spun over. Gauges all work.





Bad image, but only one I had of the seat. The seat has one small spot on it that you can see there. Cover otherwise real nice.

It's the round light version, which I think is a bit better looking. Grill and front bumper/chrome/stainless are all in really nice shape.





The passenger side is a bit worse, but good for being an Iowa truck.
