97 f-350 4x4 issues

I had to replace my 4x4 transfer case control lever, everything went fine no issues in the process, 4x4 worked great previously, but now the truck slips out of 2 wheel drive and won't stay in it, stays In 4 high and stays In 4 low, have a feeling it is something minor, just curious if anybody had some ideas

Are you talking about the shifter in the cab, or the small lever on the t-case itself?

I replaced the lever on the transfer case that connects to the lever in the cab

sounds like the forks are not moving it far enough into gear.

Check over that linkage and make sure the bolts for the linkage are tight.

The other option is to disconnect the linkage and manually put it into 2wd and see if it slips.

I'm goign to bet the linkage isn't adjusted right.
