I have the tool you need. Just used it for my Dana 60 in my 2002 but it will work just fine for D50. You are talking about the seal installer for the inner seals I imagine. There is literally no way that I found to do it correctly without the correct installer. I bought the one from Quad 4x4 in Montana. It is a pricey piece at 160 dollars but it works awesome. I have only used it once. I will send it to you if you would like me to thanks to your numerous posts and your Service to our country. You can send it back to me using the slowest, cheapest shipping possible. It will literally press in seals perfectly in about 2 minutes.

Can I ask you what brand and part number of seals you used for the inner axle seal? I'm looking for a part number for the Ford inner axle seals for the Dana 50's and am having no luck. Thank you

I made one out of 1 1/4 inch plumbing pipe with a end cap and flange. Had to grind down the flange to fit inside the seal flange. Worked beautifully for just about $10.
