If you use a liquid with less surface tension than water (gasoline, alcohol, acetone). you should need very little/no pressure at all.

The pressure test with water vs vacuum serves several purposes......

This is for a blower, and will see possibly 20 psi, 50 psi gives me a safety factor of 2.5, which I like.

Using water with air pressure vs just pressure keeps it from EXPLODING and sending shrapnel everywhere should something happen. Pressurized water does not store as much energy as air or vapor.

Water pressure will also bead up at any leaks, I can wipe it off, and immediately hit with the welder, and move on to the next without having to unload/reload. Or I can mark them pretty easy if I so choose.

Being able to weld it under pressure is also the reason I am choosing to use water versus alcohol or gas. I just don't want to have to deal with the vapors should I find some spots needing welded.

Well, I didn't vote on the original topic of this thread, but I really like the look better since you ground the welds.

Pretty much finished on the intake until I am closer to final assembly.

Should I grind the header welds too???

Next up is the Supercharger collector and mounts.
