Lincoln Hydroboost upgrade??
Does anybody out there in FTE land have any experience with a hydroboost conversion using a lincoln hydroboost? I'm considering a hydroboost upgrade for my 1977 f250 highboy using a 1977 lincoln unit that i happen to have kicking around. Is it a direct bolt on or is there modifications required?

No, i haven't looked into this swap at all yet, but its still in the plan for the future. I was sure to save the saginaw pump and brackets with the extra return fitting on the reservoir. Mine was off a 77 lincoln with the 460. I also have a hydro-boost setup from a early 90's GMC truck that had a diesel. It looks very similar to the lincoln set up. I'll have to look into the F superduty setup when i get closer to doing the swap as i'm not familiar and see what one will work the best.

I did the HB conversion. It was probably the best mod I've done for the truck. Even with 4X discs, I wasn't happy with the stopping power. With the HB it is a different truck. I used the hb unit from a GM Astro Van--made by the same manufacturer who makes them for Ford.
As the other member mentioned, use the SuperDuty master/hb combo. That way you get the same diameter brake eye. Don't try to mix match the master with a hb unit, using spacers, cutting the push rod, even slotting the mounting holes. Imo that's asking for trouble, but to each their own.
The Saginaw ps pumps, from mid 80's to mid 90's, on Econoline vans with your engine, have the bracket.
