Disable keypad and fob? Goin old school

Greetings;

Keypad is FUBAR- it did not deactivated (unlock) to allow me vehicle access.
Question: Can I disable the lock/unlock of the integrated key and also disable the keypad?

I want to go old school: will a simple cut key from a box store do the trick?

2011 XLT 4x4 5.0

cheers!

So you didn't have success with the number pad, but does your key fob still work?
Also, you have a key right now so what stops you from using it if that's the way you want to roll from now on?

If you get a new key, it needs to have the PATS system, no matter what you do with the keypad. As far as I know, there is no good way to bypass or disable that PATS system, although some have tried. Search "Pats Key" for lots more info.

The problem with going old school and using just the key is that everything you unlock the truck and open the door you have a short amount of time to start the truck before the alarm sounds. If any other door is opened before the truck is started the alarm will sound immediately.

I only was given a key with the loaner Focus from the dealer while my truck is down. It's okay if it's just me getting in and driving, but add a passenger or stuff that needs to be loaded into the trunk and it becomes a huge pain in the backside.
