This is the one I run, rated to 16,000lbs.... if you need more than that you should probably be running a gooseneck or 5th wheel....

Do you have a measurement as to how much of the frame rail it spans?
I wish I could find the hitch that was on the truck. That way I don't go drilling More holes in the frame

My Reese 45002 runs just a hair under 18" along the frame. All 4 bolts on each side had to have their frame holes drilled.
It is a 2.5"x2.5" receiver tube and this is by choice. Partially because my brother gave me three drop hitches in that size and also an adapter so I could use the standard 2"x2" hitches I already had.
But where I think the larger tube size is a plus, especially for a fabricator, is the ability to have an item built onto the adapter tube, and still be able to put in/take out the standard size hitch.
Like a fishing pole mounts. Flag mounts if you run the sand dunes or are just a redneck. A spare tire mount. Etc.
And you can do the same up front. I plan on making a license plate mount attached to an adapter for my front 2.5"x2.5" receiver tube.
Just suggesting an option...
