Ebay Pads & Rotors - Too Cheap?
I found the link below while doing a search of other threads. This seems really cheap for two rotors and a set of front pads. Anyone have experience with these (besides the guy who posted the link)?

If you tow, anything, you'll want semi-metallic over ceramic. Not as quiet as ceramic, but does it's best stopping generating heat. Ceramics are quieted, produce less dust, but you loose up to 30% of stopping distance with loaded conditions such as trailering.

Just a note: One school of thought says not to use drilled/slotted rotors because you can't get them turned if needed. The other states that you should not turn rotors in the first place as they are seldom actually "warped" but have hard spots in them due to being "set" with the brakes on when hot which causes the pulsing feeling. ??

I don't like ceramic brake pads-I believe that they are harder than the rotors and chew them up. New rotors aren't too expensive and turning or milling them removes metal from an already thin rotor to start with and I haven't had good luck with it lasting. I had rotors turned in the past only to have to buy new ones all to soon (not on this truck I will say). They don't make them as good as they used to.

I did some more reading on this site (in other forums) and on other sites. I couldn't find any bad reviews. I think I'm going to give them a shot, and as a back-up plan, have my current rotors turned/milled. I also currently have the "limited lifetime" pads from AZ. I'm going to see if they'll exchange them so that I have a backup set of rotors & pads.

I put a set of these (from the same seller) on my Subaru Tribeca 4 years ago and they have been great. I put a set on my Mercury Sable about 2 years and they have been great. Recently after buying my 2000 F-250 I put a set on it, but I went with the HAWK LTS pads and they have been great. I pull a 30 ft travel trailer through the north GA mountains once in a while and am impressed with the rotors in combination with the Hawk LTS pads.
I plan to get a set of rotors for the rear of the F-250 this summer as well.
