How different is the bed size between a 47 half ton and 3/4 ton?

The 1/2 ton bed is 6 1/2' long and the 3/4- 1 ton beds are 8' long and several inches wider than the 1/2 ton bed. The 3/4- 1 ton wheel base is 122" versus 114" for the 1/2 ton trucks.

Ok that is what I figured. Thanks.

There is a guy selling a bed from a 47 3/4 ton on craigslist. I was hoping it'd work for a half ton but knew it probably wouldn't.

I've heard about those gender inserts... Why can't people just be happy the way they were born? And did you say 'running boards? I'll check it out after work.

Hahahaha sorry. I was typing on the phone while talking to someone else. Definitely meant fenders. Running boards Is what he called them, but probably what I'd've said also. What are they supposed to be called?

dang, that's too far for me. the fender location on a 3/4 ton is spaced differently than a 1/2 ton as well, so one cannot simply cut one end to shorten a bed to fit a 1/2 ton. It's just not worth the hassle, IMO. I'd keep looking for a 1/2 ton bed. And good luck!
