Beautiful job! Better than new. Great looking dog also. There should be a thread for pictures of old Ford trucks and dogs, they just go so well together.

Thanks for the compliments, it's great to have a place to connect with so many people who share the same passion for these old trucks. Thanks again for your support. Bill

Considering how you mounted the tail lamps, how do you plan to mount the rear license plate?

Are you aware that the front bumper is not the original? It should be the same as the one on the pictured beige '65 with DRW's.

The diminishing (spot) mirror with the amber reflector lens (C5TZ-17696-A) was an accessory beginning in 1965. I installed these same mirrors on my 1965.

Hey Bumper Dummy, oh....I mean Number Dummy,
Glad you chimed in. I am aware of the front bumper issue. However, this truck has a government coded DSO number (830215). This is the bumper that was on the truck when I got it. I chose to keep it. Could it be that this bumper, grill guard, and toe hooks, were an option for government issued trucks?
I planned to mount the rear license plate in the recess, that I fabbed into the rear roll pan. I know this modification is not original, but, my roll pan was butchered, for a hitch, by the PO. So this gave me an opportunity to put the license plate where it is more protected, than dangling from the tail light. JMHO, the appearance of the truck looks more balanced when the license plate is centered.
Could you decode the numbers for this truck?
Warranty number: F26JR685038
Wheel base: 120
Color: (this was blank) I chose (J)
Model: F260
Body: 481
Trans: N
Axle: 25
Max GVW: 7000
Cert. Net. H.P.: 129
RPM: 4000
DSO: 830215

I have a pair of mud flaps, part number C7TZ-16A550-C
Would these be correct for a 1965 N950?
Thanks,
Bill
