I'm fairly confident it would have survived the trip in better shape if we had built a crate for the thing; I don't remember what we did but I remember two pallets we somehow held together... they didn't stay together... it did not arrive unscathed.
Body man can fix it, though, there's nothing major wrong BUT... that nice stainless-steel trim... isn't so nice anymore. *sigh*
If you really want it... fly to Gary's, rent a covered truck or maybe just a car and a trailer to haul it back home with you.
