Question GT Radial Adventuro AT3

I'm searching for a pair of replacement tires for the rear of my '88 F150 4x4. This is a second vehicle (not my daily driver) that I use for occasional trips to the quarry, mulch yard, Lowes, etc. I do load it down, up to and a little over 2,000 lbs at times. I want the cheapest SAFE tire I can find. I shy away from the Chinese knockoff brands, but don't want to spend the money on BFG or Michelin. The best option I have found so far are these GT Radial Adventuro AT3's

BTW, I am looking for a 31x10.50R15 size, since that is what's already on there and it's a 4x4. My only concern about these tires is their load range. My understanding is that load range "C" indicates a 6-ply tire, and according to the Discount Tire rep would max out at 1,700 to 2,000 lbs. Does anyone have experience with these particular tires and/or hauling heavy loads with a 6-ply tire?

EDIT: I just found some information on the GT Tires website. According to the "Size Range" tab, the 31x10.50R15 has a max load of 2,270 lbs (at 50 PSI). I think this will work just fine for me, but I am still open to reviews and suggestions.

Thanks!

Don't buy the GT's!

Coming from a technician at a Discount Tire here in OK, do your self a huge favor and stay away from GT tires unless you absolutely have no more money to spend on tires. There is a tech at my store with the GT AT3 and they are a very low grade tire and you get what you pay for because they're priced as such. The tread compound is holding up decently but he does not drive very much nor does he off-road his 2WD often if ever. The tread design in my professional opinion will not handle very much off-road unless it's dry. I would strongly recommend asking your local Discount Tire if they can offer you the Cooper ATP in 31x10.50r15 yet. I personally am purchasing these for my truck very soon, but the coincidence was whenever I first checked our computer, the ATP was not listed as available in that size, but upon checking again a few weeks-month or two ago, the tire was indeed made in that size! It is a WONDERFUL tire and I have heard NO complaints from anyone who purchased it.
