full throttle surge is usually a sign of a failing injector pump.

It happens to me on my rear tank because its sucking air from the cracked pickup

Wow already? I think these are about 3 years old.. Thinking about it now, I do have a little fuel knock when it's cold I guess it's time to order up some stage 1 injectors

I thought it was my pickups but both of my tanks are full, I'll probably be leaning to replacing injectors

failing governor circuit or fuel metering circuit in the pump, not failing injectors.

Thanks tjc, I'm in process of saving for another 90cc pump.. It just started doing this about a month ago but very intermittent

it could and should run for quite a while like that, just keep an eye on it.
my last pump started surging around 90k miles, i ran it another 65k before it finally gave up. the last 15k it had no governor in it, i could spin the engine past 4 grand if i was not careful.
