Hey all it has been a while since I have been around but now I have picked up a 2003 half ton 4x4 extended cab short bed with a 4.6L engine. This is the replacement to my 84 f250 and my question is for very occasional local towing of a gooseneck trailer.

We have a 34 foot gooseneck triple axle trailer for our race car. The primary tow vehicle is a 2015 f350 4x4 SRW CCLB with the 6.7L diesel engine. On rare occasions I need to pull the trailer locally with an estimated weight of 10-11k.

I know this is far from ideal but in a pinch can it be done? I appreciate the input

Really depends on pin weight, yeah the truck will struggle to accelerate that much weight but the real issue is overloading the rear end springs and tires.

 

Are you awhere your F150 has a Gross Combine Weight Rating of less then
12,000 lbs and you want to pull a trailer that weighs as much!

Max GCWR for your truck is 11,500, max 5th wheel weight is 6,600.
You will ruin your truck and be very unsafe, even on a short trip.
