Red face Getting an old truck a new home

Hey Guys,

The 78 F250 SuperCab needs a good home. We've kept it up and were hoping to keep it around longer.... but we getting a new truck from work.

I want to sell it to someone who will restore it, not trash/part it out. The Craigslist folks have been all about "what's the least you will take for it".... which is tiresome - and not the right crowd.

What sites are easy to deal with and seem to limit the tire-kicking cheap skates who just tell you the truck is crap and worthless before finding out anything about it? The brief experience I've had doesn't make me look forward to selling a truck I like......... Any advice? Thanks!

Nice truck, good luck with the sale. Start high priced way to keep the Clist flakes from calling. FTE classified and your FTE state chapter (Va) to maybe at least keep it in state?

X2 as Rich. You could also list on e bay. And if your afraid of a lower bid than your willing to accept for the truck you can also list it with a high reserve. That way you won't be forced to sell it for less then you want to get out of it. And if it doesn't meet your reserve price, but your happy with the highest bid you can still choose to accept that bid and sell the truck. Just some food for thought.

Thanks guys! I like the idea of VA Chapter - FTE and I am a little concerned with EBay.

Has anyone done EBay for a vehicle? It seems like it would be messy........

+1 on this method. I do it for a living. CYOA and eliminate the cheapskates and dealers.

I've sold one on eBay and bought one ion eBay. Both dealings were all the way across the country. There were phone calls and more pics emailed before the auction was over. Had no issues. Like was said before, CYA!

Nice truck. Wish I was back in VA now.
I've bought some vehicles of ebay (one in Rocky Mount, another in Culpepper) in VA. Plus others with good results. An accurate description is the thing.
Yes, a good idea to join the VA Chapter. I'm W of Martinsville when down there.
