Let us know which one you get Bill. My complaint about La Crosse tech is their sending units that sit outside give up after a couple years. This time I bought one of their protective outdoor cases and nailed it to the porch upright. See if that helps.
I quit on the idea about as fast as it came up. I know I would not like the alarm clock function of any weather station. The buttons are too tiny. I would wake up, fumble in the dark trying to figure out how to silence the danged thing, and soon I would find myself repairing a divot in the nice new bedroom paint job.

Oregon Scientific was a company that had really good products, such as alarm clocks, so-called atomic clocks, etc. Now I think they are a shadow of what once was.

Received this e-mail last night. Sounds like drivers wanted a day off work... or the guy who hooks up the block heaters @ 4am took the night off.

DeKalb 428 Families:

District officials were notified today by our transportation provider that many of our buses are frozen up and will not be ready by morning. Unfortunately, because we cannot provide transportation for our students we will be canceling school again tomorrow, Friday, February 1.

We sincerely apologize for this frustrating situation. See you all Monday.

GO BARBS!

I would rather have rain then snow. If it snowed here, we would lose half the population to accidents. LOL

Went on our (mostly) annual trip to Yosemite. It was quite beautiful. I also did a thing.

Where I am today. Can hear the engines from my hotel several miles away. Alas, I won't be here on Sunday.
