f600 4x4 6door build

I have done both welds on floor pans. The overlap weld is much easier and stronger in my opinion. Just cut ALL the rust out of the old pan and overlap the new pan. I don't have a spot welder but I weld the edges al the way around. When your done smear some seam sealer on the bottom and top seam. Then undercoat the bottom and paint the top or use bedliner on the inside of the cab. Butt welding works also but it takes much more work to fit the new pan into the hole in the old pan. On a show car butt welding is preferred because the welds can be grond down totally smooth and painted so you cant tell the floor has ever been replaced.

Have the pas side Cab Mount half built. My welding is crude but effective. It's coming out pretty good. We also have created a slip joint for the rocker panels where the two cabs will be welded together. Next is to figure out how to join the top of the cabs. Once we get it welded together it's going on the rotisserie. Working on it a couple hours every morning before work. Getting lots done. I'll post some more pictures asap.

Indeed it did.
I sold it to a very excited crew cab enthusiast in northern montana who has restored some beautiful crew cabs, it went to a good home. Im far too busy with my 15 classic cars. Of which include my 1979 f350 monster truck and 12 valve 5 speed 1 ton super cab and 54 f100 429 dual quad tunnel ram 4 speed 9"

Mine was a 2spd rear end 2wd
391FT industrial gas engine
I had 4x4 ambitions but am settling for a bigfoot like reg cab long box project
I never took intricate pictures of the truck but the one thing i will note is how the cabs were put together. There was a neat scallop cut across both floors and were seamlessly welded together.
It was no saws all job.
I have the new owners phone number if youd like to ask him for pictures.
