Brake Issue

Just recently i replaced some brake lines on the way to the rear axle and bleed the lines just fine until this morning, it was snowing and raining last night, and when i started the truck up the brake pedal hardly wants to even compress at all. I hardly have any braking power at all. Is this an issue of not getting the line totally bled? Because everything is tight and im not loosing any fluid anywhere... Please help

This sounds to me like a problem in the vaccume. Either the booster is leaking vaccume, or the pump is shot. If the heater control defaults to defrost no matter what position the **** is in , usually points to a faulty vaccume pump. The pump should pull a minimum of 19 inches.

I've replaced the vacuum pump twice before with the brand parts store pump. One time it destroyed itself completely so I'm on the second pump... Bec the truck stopped perfectly only 12 hours ago!

I would say you have either a large vacuum leak or another bad pump. You could plug the vacuum to the accessories and see if that helps

So how do I test if the vacuum pump is ok?

Ideally, a vacuum gauge, though you could stick it on your neck and see if it leaves a mark :P. If you recently replaced the pump I would start with checking for leaks though. A mighty vac setup would probably work to put vacuum on the system and isolate any possible air intrusion
