Working outside wasn't to bad today, we didn't lay any block, just got all the old block removed and cleaned for tomorrow. Someone rammed there car into the side of a building, guess their floor mat got caught between the brake and the accelerator.

Morning everyone.

My wife's computer said -4 this morning. Did you know that at these temps dog crap freezes in the snow pretty quick. I had to us a shovel this morning.

Well I'll be off to the Big-E for the Big Camping Show. Campers and trucks. All things camping. Go every year to see what's new on the market and there are a few items I usually pick up Jerky and and fudge. We look for deals and ideas. This year we starting to smoke foods, so I will be keeping an eye out for stuff.

Camping show good. Splitting wood bad in this weather. Inch or so of the white stuff on the ground already.

Saw quite a few fifth wheeler trailers, a lot of new up dates that I agree with like linoleum rather than carpets this year. chairs and tables rather than the booths. Weight has come down and so were prices that I could see. This should be the time to get into camping if you were inclined.

Watch out there on the road it's getting slippery, be safe.

I was asked to go run a loader in Boston with one of the local companies that is helping out up there. Wish I could go just for the experience of it but I think I'll be busy with work given the forecast here.

I'm in an apprenticeship with IBEW local 42 to be a power lineman. So anyone you see working on power lines that isn't CL&P, UI, etc. would be one of the contractors that hires from our local. PAR, Asplundh Construction Line Division, Michaels Power, MJ Electric, McPhee, Riggs Distler, Rizzo, and other contractors all hire from our local. The company I'm working for now (Asplundh Construction) has contracts with CL&P for some maintenance and troubleshooting work.

My mother works up in Boston and she said the city went into gridlock so badly that they had to call in the national guard last week.
