That sucks. Not sure how long I'll be here tomorrow. Weather supposed to move in tomorrow afternoon, so I'm not real wild about sticking around too long if it gets bad.

Fortunately, don't think I'll be working weekends at the new gig, unless we get really swamped. They tend to not do that.

 

Only time I ever get overtime is when we shut down. Either every 18 months, or if the plant has a problem.

 

Yeah, there's not gonna be much OT at the new gig either. They put me on salary as a result, but did say that if something happens in terms of "exceptional situations" they will work out stuff with me in terms of bonus/extra pay or turn it into comp time. All of that's in the offer letter, so it's in writing.
