EFI V10 or EFI 460 swap

Sorry if this has already been covered in another thread but has anyone done a V10 or EFI 460 with the corresponding auto transmission swap into a 1966 F250 4x4 with divorced transfer case and if so could I get the basics of the engine mounts, wiring harness and ecm module? Any advice / information appreciated. Thanks!

Are you wanting a stock EFI engine system or an aftermarket one like an edelbrock or msd? My choice would be a nicely built 460 with an aftermarket EFI. From MSD or another brand like it. Backed up by a c6 auto trans.

I'd stay away from the factory EFI. seems like more of a mess with the harness and computer to deal with. The aftermarket ones seem a lot more clean looking less headache figuring out wiring and they can be tunable for upgrades. Also they come with a monitor that let's you see everything that's going on with your engine with all the sensors and will take place of having to buy all those extra gauges and figuring out where to mount them all.

Have you installed a aftermarket efi system on yours and had a good experience?

No I have no personal experience with an EFI system. Just from reading up on them and what I read from others that have. If you search for another forum member named HIO silver he got an aftermarket system and swears by it. Look in his build thread low buck bumpside build for his system and also you can PM him and I'm sure he wouldn't mind talking to you about the systems.
