How its made: FTE zerk fitting

I mentioned doing this for awhile now. Had to make up a few fittings today and figured this was as good of time as any to make the video of making a hub zerk fitting. Only part not in the video is the tapping and threading in the zerk. Sorry its hard to see the actual cutting of the fitting but you get the idea.

Oh yeah, I never leave the key in the chuck either. I did in the video simply because I was speeding up the process for the video some.

The drill bit looks cool making a hole without spinning. I'm guessing the drill bits are backwards from how a normal drill bit spiral winds.

Nope, normal drill bit with normal right hand twist. The chuck (material/lathe) spins counter clockwise.

Got it I could have sworn the chuck was spinning the other way.
