Another Cummins Swap...

I wanted to install the lifters/cam first just because its easier without the crankshaft in the way but the wrong bushing has put that at least 5 days late. Just trying to do what I can till new bushing gets here, hopefully by Friday. Crankshaft all cleaned up and installed with new bearings and assembly lube. Three steps to max torque, still spins nice and free.

Have I mentioned lately how much I enjoy my new engine stand?
This is the first engine Ive side mounted. I think Im gonna like it, at least with 6bt, mainly for removing and installing the camshaft. Turn the engine with the front up, lifters in the raised position, the cam is very easy to handle in or out.
Crapola, the video didn't load properly, takes you to photobucket. Oh well...

Just found this & read the whole thing. Nice work!
As others have said - I love the engine stand & the time taken on the motor. I've been too lazy (chicken as well) to tear my motor down, but seeing Brandon's (CO425) and now yours I'm really thinking I should have. I'm much more of a fabricator than a mechanic though so rebuilds like you are doing scare me a bit.

This is what REALLY scares me about mine. Especially because it's been sitting around in the truck for about 8 years while I've been building
