Introduction & Kudos & Thanks
Hey y'all,
New to the forum, new to Fords, and new to trucks! I traded up my Jeep Wrangler for an 02 F250 - even trade... although I came out ahead.
First item of business was spark plugs: engine idling bad, ticking (lifter sound - after some reading I figured spark plugs. That's the introduction.
Kudos to Ford for still running with no check engine light, or any real issues, even on the highway, despite 6 spark plugs all being gapped different, one missing the arm-you-adjust-to-set-the-gap, and one being something totally different.
Got them all fixed and replaced and boy does the truck purr.
And... Thanks to racerguy (and others) for the life saver post about replacing spark plugs.
That's all for now. Thanks for being an awesome community.

Welcome to FTE !
I'll bet the 2 rusty ones (at the bottom of your picture) were in the back (closest to the cab).. There is a seam in the under hood weatherstrip that has a seem right over the engine which lets the water drop onto your rear most plugs.. there is a write up somewhere about using some RTV (?) to seal that weatherstrip to reduce the water getting on your plugs..
