Vettex2 you link takes us to an opening page for McMaster---any particular parts you use there for this?

Skip what you're probably dealing with might be one of two things: worn or aged parts that need to be replaced OR too much body flex never anticipated by Ford when that body was designed.

Door and body seals in the door openings as well as worn latches or strikers probably are all contributing to those rattles. If those parts are original to the van they're 36 y/o-----kinda past the point they'd be expected to last.

If that movement you describe is when the van is sitting still----age has taken its toll my friend.

ya sitting still. anyhow i found a mod that there is a plastic bushing the is gone after years on the striker, i found people using 1/2 pex cut in place of this, i did the mod to my strikers, and WOW! passanger side is really great now! drivers still has some but improved 80%, so i think the latch is worn on drivers to far. im gonna wrap the pex with some electrical tape to make up for wear. but i think on the passanger side its all good now just needs new weather stripping!

Do the pex mod if your doors strikers no longer have bushing, it works great!

i will try to improve it more, for now this is a huge improvement!

Never had to. I just tried to steer him to a place where you can find just about ANYTHING.I'm sure if you poke around the site you could find something that might work.
Sounds like he found the real issue though.
