what kind of gas tank will go under a 69 ford f100 short bed

 

60's mustang tanks lots of threads on doing the tank swap.

 

The "best" option is a 22 gallon tank from spec'ed for a 70 Mustang. Fabrication is required and a crossmember has to be moved back. Its filler will be through the bed.

A side-fill option is a tank from a 72-78 International Scout. The filler can be either through the bedside or bed rail. Again, fabrication is required.

i'm using an '80 scout tank from mtscompany.com , still have to change the cross members location , gonna fill mine thru the last stake pocket , got some fabbing to do tho

 

Yuuup... I have MTS' 72-80 Scout tank too. I'm pondering the idea of using a Cobra flip-open cap.
