Looks like a good base for a solid project. Good luck with it. Do you have the spare tire door for the bedside? Those can be hard to find. And be careful with that truck. These things have a tendency to become rather addictive. You may plan to resell it now, but when the time comes you may find that you just might want to keep it. Anyways good luck and keep us updated.

I do have the panel. I took it off for the trip home so I wouldn't loose it on the way home. I know they can be addictive, but I have an advantage that may help with some immunity, I already have a '78 F150, one brother has a '79 F150, '92 F150, and '83 Ranger, the other brother has a '78 F250, Dad has a '78 F250, Mom has a '89 F350 crewcab and a '13 Taurus. Once I get a hiccup with the title fixed I will start working on it.

I've gotten a couple of those for good deals and flipped them. There's not as many buyers looking for them, but they are more rare so worth a little more.
The last one I got for $1,200 and put nothing into it. Drove it for about 5 months. Had a sweet 460 & auto someone had put a good share of money in, it had a heck a lot of "get up and go" Body was ok. Interior was great. Had a new seat, headliner was great. Even had the underhood insulation. I kick myself now, I wish I would have kept that insulation and put on my crew.
Sold it in September for $2,200.
Have fun with yours. I like the color.

I haven't taken many yet. It is still on the trailer right now. I've taken it to the Oregon DMV twice, once on a holiday (oops). I have to take it to the Idaho DMV tomorrow to get the VIN corrected on the title, E/F typo, then to the Oregon DMV again to get it in my name.
The sheetmetal isn't all original. The tailgate was that seafoam green color at one time, the cab has been at least partially replaced as there was a pillar tag for a 77 F150 and there is overspray on the radiator support. Not branded.
The previous owner was a mechanic who developed alzheimers. He started tearing the engine apart chasing a "timing problem." He couldn't remember how to put it back together so it sat for 13-15 years. The crank turns, I seem to have most of the parts, the timing chain is long gone and the radiator was stolen. I have to replace the 16.5 bias plys as the rims are in terrible shape. Rock auto, Ebay, and the Pick-a-Parts will be my friends.

My first box of parts showed up today. Another is set to arrive tomorrow or the next day. I still need to get a pre '70 timing set (might as well do it right.) I'm thinking Cloyes C3037 or 91122 listed under a '69 Mark III. Also need a radiator and an air cleaner. I found a 3 core aluminum that is the same dimensions as the old super cooler. I'm going to pull the camshaft for inspection and possible replacement since I don't know what the timing issue actually was. If I need to I will replace that as well. Once it runs I will make it stop.

Small progress this week. Started really checking things over. Hooked up some jumper cables and flipped a few switches. Some things work, others don't. I could hear the starter turn, but wouldn't engage. Pulled that and hooked up the cables directly. It sort of turns, but wouldn't be enough to start the engine and the drive doesn't kick out. The bushing is gone in the cone too. Added a starter to the to do list. The antenna is missing so I couldn't get any radio reception. I got the rubber back into the passenger bedside dent trim. The front of the engine looks ugly, but it should clean up. The vacuum can is collapsed. I have started a list to scrounge for when I make it to the pick-a-part.

So I finally got the title in hand last Friday. I've been sorting through the crap in the cab and bed and filled my trash can twice. I pulled the carb after blowing all the crap off the engine. I was looking at how to pull the oil pan without pulling the engine. I think I will loosen the engine mounts and lift it to get some room. No pics, not much visibly different.
