Rod Doors install complete
Please feel free to view my newest gallery showing the Rod Doors install. I got the full set-up: headliner, overhead console for the stereo receiver, rear cab covers, door panels (in plain, no design), the steering column cover, and the underdash cover. I also got the 6" recessed speaker pods, but ended up not using them because the fit was poor for the room I had in the kick panel area where I wanted the speakers to be mounted. Instead, I had custom speaker pods made that did not jam the speakers' magnet back into and against the metal kick panel. I also had the speaker pods built to the speakers themselves would be angled at the center rear of the cab to optimize sound. The 10" sub-woofer had to be mounted vertically facing back instead of horizontally hovering 3" above the carpeting-- which was the 1st and optimum mounting option. This is due to the limited space under and behind the center console seat. The amp is located under the passenger's seat and is run with 4ga. wires.
Rod Doors provided a can of adhesive that my installer said worked well (pic in gallery), but other adhesives worked well, too. Headliner fit like a glove according to my upholsterer, but it was difficult to get the fabric to contour totally cleanly around some of the curves and angles. We did the best we could. And for about 1/2 of what I was quoted by local custom upholsterers who were going to custom build EVERY panel, headliner, etc... I can live with a few minor imperfections!
Hope the pix help... And if anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. If I can't answer them, I will contact my installer and get the info back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks for the kind words! I doubt if he'll ever get to that stage, but I sure appreciate the kudo's from a peer. It means a lot... Thanks again...
Best,

Hmmm, not sure why you can't see my Rod Doors gallery. I will contact Kenny and look into it and let you know. My apologies in advance; I probably did something wrong in setting it up. It exists though, because I can view it myself if I go into "edit gallery", etc...
Sorry for the delay,
Daryl

Hi Daryl,
I don't know where it went to. It was definately there last night because I saw it as well!
You said that you can view it when you go into "edit gallery"?
Maybe check to make sure the "hide gallery" function wasn't chosen accidentally.
Other than that, you'll have to contact one of the administrators or assistants (Ken Dennis, or Erik).
