Exclamation 1988 F150 Looking for top hat hubs

Hey guys,

I'm currently restoring a 1988 f150, it's almost complete. One of the missing pieces, though, are the top hat locking hubs. They both don't work, and I have to replace them. The only problem is that I can't find them anywhere, even at Ford.

Do any of you know any place that does sell them? online maybe? I've run out of ideas on where to look.

Thanks

Never knew they used them on anything other than Bronco II's and Rangers. There's a pair on eBay now @ $99.00 a pop.

not sure where that guy is getting his information but I am almost sure those are incorrect. Bronco IIs, rangers, and explorers all use 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern where as 88 F150 4x4s have 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. They would never work.
Plus he says 90-96 well F150s only got top hat hubs late 87 and early 88 (hence why my 88 F150 has top hat hubs).

I am almost sure you have no choice but to convert to the 80-early87 or late 88-96 hubs style which in my opinion is better (I probably will do that on my 88).

Your best bet is just to keep your eyes peeled in the junkyards. Tophats were only used for maybe a year total (starting late one model year and ended partway thru the next).
