Question 8.8 diff fluids

I am replacing some bearings in my rear dif. 8.8 how much fluid should I need?
I am changing everything to 100% full syn. from the motor back.

2 quarts should be enough and additive if you have a limited slip rear differential. If you don't have limited slip then you don't need the additive. This is the amount they send with new gears and bearing kit, so that should suffice. Good luck.

I think the book says 2.6 L or 5.5 pints.
