Hey guys, I have 2003 F-250 SD 6.8 V10 4r100. Have slow engagement into reverse and drive. Worse when cold temps. Takes approx. 2 seconds for reverse and up to five seconds for drive. No leaks, fluid and filter changed 2-3k ago thinking it would help. Shifts great. Only other issue is vibration like feel when pulling light load from stop and/or uphill from stop or very low speed. Thanks for the help.

 

Big issue with the 4r100 is the feed bolts back out and it causes delays into gear of no engagement at all. Im having the same issue as you but its been going on for a little over two years now... Recently when reverse grabs its very abrupt and harsh now. Ive done all i can do so this spring im sending the trans to Mr. Woods and having him rebuild my transmission
