77 F150 Restomod

I have a 1977 F150 Custom 4x4 with the 351m and C6. I've had the truck for about 4 years now but I'm just getting started on restoring it. My dad bought it for me when I was 17 and now my fiancé wants it to be our getaway ride at our wedding.

I just bought a 429 and a 460 for dirt cheap so I'll probably swap the 351. Also, if anyone has pictures of a dentside with a black cherry paint could you post it? Being my first restoration I'll have many questions to ask so I hope I don't get on anyone's nerves. Any tips on the 460 swap or the restoration in general will be appreciated! I have pictures on my page.

Thanks!

Have ya ever noticed "fiancé" is really close in spelling to "financier"?

Finish your rig BEFORE the big day because for whatever reason, a $30 part right now may be considered a $300 part thereafter.

Thanks for the link, Bud! I want it to be different than a factory or basic paint job. Not sure if black cherry is the route to go. What I have envisioned is the BC paint and everything else black. Every bit of chrome will be painted black or the BC.

And thanks for the advice, HIO. Lol I already got a little taste of that the other day when I bought those two engines.

Yes sir, I picked up on that notion. I have about a year and 3 months to complete it. Should be plenty of time. Thanks for the picture!
