Hopefully one of the V10 folks here will be able to help you out.

That because the 2003 6.0 turbo is louder than the 04/05

Its true, in 03 Ford used a 10 vane turbo, in 04-05 they switched to a 13 vane turbo, mainly because the turbo in 03 was so dang loud! Here is a clip before I put the muffler back on. It was a MBRP 4" setup. Make sure you turn it up nice and loud! This was me taking it up to something like 3500 RPM

A 6.0 should not have a cat or muffler

I think due to everyone's definition of noise and loud is different when it comes to exhaust. I ran my 7.3 straight 4" for over a year and one day it dawned on me just how droney and loud it was inside the rig. After that it's all I could hear, finally got sick of it and threw this AeroTurbine on. Still loud, but much better at freeway speeds now.

Oh, I am still loud as heck. The other way was so crazy, I was worried that one of my trips to Portland would get me pulled over by a cop who thinks a loud turbo is wrong or something. I at least can point to the muffler and tell johnny law that I am running one and that the turbo is always that loud!

You can hear it from the inside here:

From the outside here:

and in a tunnel here

Man do i love the sound of my 6.0!

Sorry for the thread jack...
