Got My Seat Back, It Looks GOOD!

I took my seat in to Glen's Seat and Top here in Smithfield NC (shameless plug) to be reupholstered since NOBODY makes OEM upholstery for these type seats.

They recommended a heavy vinyl called Endurex. They matched the color perfectly and order the material. The guy who did the sewing is a master, it looks fantastic. I am SO happy with it. He said there is some wrinkles in the material and that they will smooth out in a few weeks, it's where it was folded and shipped.

Anyway, some pics.

that does look good. Mind if I ask how much it cost you? I'd like to get teh cloth seat in my 87 redone in vinyl (easier to clean, and when your truck is a work truck that's a good thing).

That seat looks good. I'll have to keep them in mind when I need some done. It's getting hard to find good upholstery folks anymore around here.

My wife's late grandparents used to do all of mine before they retired. They were located just outside of Benson.

It cost me $375 total. There are not ANY used blue seats around central NC. Even if there were, I wanted vinyl. I learned a long time ago, get what you want and pay the price or you will always wish you had

Definitely agreed. I haven't been able to find a replacement for the bench seat in my truck that has the center console either (and I must say it's getting pretty well exhausted) so that may well be the route I take, once I get the ol' truck back on the road anyway

Those do look great! I am lucky in that my '89's seats are in good shape, but I would definitely consider doing this when they need to be done.

Wow, they did a great job on that bench! Looks great!! I am thankful that despite the age and miles on my truck, and despite most of it being neglected, my seat is actually still in fantastic shape! But if it does wear out, this is the route I'd go.

Also, thanks for sharing the shop name that did the work. It's great to give a free plug for someone who does good work. It's getting harder and harder to find places that actually do a quality job.

I can't believe that's all you paid! They look great. If I was to have that done around here (CT) it would cost closer to 700.00 or more. Good score on that!

Wow 375 is an amazing deal. And it looks great. Even the color is spot on. Im from long island and it would probably be cheaper for me to drive to nc and get my seat done by that guy than to try and find some ***** around here. I couldnt imagine getting a decent result for less than 1000 on li.
