mustang parts thrown at this F150.

The title says it.

I got this 94 extended cab 2wd short bed given to me. Started looking at stroker kits and a turbo. But in a twist of fate a buddy of mine needed a set of gt40 heads that I had and he traded a e7 headed .040 over long block to me for them. Then as always I looked it over real good pulled the mains it must have lost oil pressure the last time at the track in his mustang. So i sorced a used crank getting cam bearings installed this weekend and cleaning up all the brackets.

The plan as of now is
308 cu. In.
e7 heads (for now) then maybe afr 165's
Procomp intake (edelbrock knock off)
f303 cam
1.75 headers
2.5 x-pipe modified to go under tranny crossmember
30 lb Frpp injectors
abaco dbx 97mm mass air meter.

Any ideas on what else is going to be needed.

Brother that is a big cammed small motor for an extended cab heavy truck. The F cam makes power in upper mid to high RPM. You did not say what trans but I assume a E4OD, you will need a loose converter matched to the combo (call Art Carr or other manufacturer and let them tell you what converter) and probably 4:10s if a small tire 2wd. If this a 4x4 with bigger tires deeper gears may be needed.

If you have not yet assembled the bottom end, consider a stroker crank. You need torque.

X2.......86 that F303 for something better suited for a truck.

The B cam is still a little lopey if that is desired but will make much more torque. Better yet an aftermarket "RV" or "High Energy" style cam with good lift and less duration.

That F will sound great but without the loose (very) converter and deep gears a stock focus will eat your lunch.

The's are just some parts I have laying around. Years of fox body building has left me with a few extra parts. And well why not throw them at this turd see what it will do. The f cam is the smallest I have ever used.

The truck has an auto but I don't have a stall. I wish I could call art carr. But last I heard they went under. I use an art carr aod in my mustang.

I have a set of old Glidden Hogged out j302 heads from the early days sitting there but I would for sure need a 9 or 10 inch 4000 rpm stall.

I have often wondered why people fear the f303 cam? I have had them in stock 302s 347s. So far the best all purpose cam IMO.
