are you asking what will kill it ?
not changing the oil, or putting gas in it.
other than those two things, they will last pretty much forever if maintained properly.

the 7.3l is so legendary that there is no point of failure known to man.

its rumored that once you put around 1 million miles on them, they self reman.

someone claimed they broke one once, but it was latter confirmed a hoax.

That depends on the tuner and what year 7.3 you are talking about.

the 94-2000 have factory forged rods and are "good" to 550hp

the 01-03 have Powdered Metal Rods(PMRs) and are only "good" to 425.

But the trans is the weak link. Stock e4OD is only good for the stock 225hp and even then they were still not what I call reliable. Most guys after putting a chip in would blow the trans with only 50-65 extra HP

Unless you have a good job, you'll break the bank before you break a 7.3. They're good for 300-350 wheel with a tune, after that it starts gettin very pricey per hp.

ZF5 is a very stout 5 speed that needs very little attention, if you are fortunate enough to have one vs an auto.

That's all in addition to what Brad said above.

is it the torque converter that causes it to be weak? cause I had my tranny rebuilt and they put a aftermarket torque converter that was stronger than the last one ( original ), my truck is actually in the tranny shop now so with in like a week ill be able to pick it up and ask them how much hp its rated at

Torque converter is part of the weak link. There are multiple other weak areas like aluminum parts in the trans. Typical BUILDS replace the aluminum parts with steel pieces. Then there are also cryo shafts that can go in to, along with better clutches, MORE clutches, higher pressure valve body and tuning for the trans as well.

I am sure your local trans shop does not rebuild/build them for anything of great HP

your trans guy will be rebuilding to at least '95 spec with several upgrades, including the converter.you haven't got a worry in the world braking that trans with your idi.
