The elusive rear passenger glass

I am having a hard time finding the rear passenger glass on my crewcab. I need the portion that rolls up and down. Anyone have any suggestions?

Also what year span will work for this application, maybe I can use a newer model that is easier to find.

I looked through the stickies and saw that there are alot of door options from 80-96 but I didnt see anything specific to the crew cab or just the back glass. i guess I could change out the doors but the glass would be easier as everything else is in good shape.

It's just flat glass isn't it? A glass shop should be able to cut a piece to size for you and install it.

I was going to suggest the same thing.

I recently had the windshield replaced in my Fusion, and while I watched them install it, I watched some other guy spray something on flat plate glass, light it on fire, and then slowly bend it until it left a clean cut! It was amazing to watch!

But a glass shop should be able to cut one to fit for ya. Won't have any Ford logos or information on it though

I would call Safelite Auto Glass or any other National glass company to price just the piece of glass. When you are paying out of pocket, you can get a decent deal. At least this would give you a baseline for cost.

Usually a local shop (in my area) cannot cut the modern flat glass. It's all the tempered (ice cube) type glass. They can cut the laminated safety glass, the glass that is two layers with plastic in the middle. That will usually work for the back glass, and all the older 50's and early 60's cars and trucks. I am not sure when they went to the tempered side glass.

But my local shop said they can order it.

83-86 is all you can use.

UNLESS you put the 87-97 door glass in. It is a One pice design withOUT the little wing window

on the 87-97 doors isnt there a subtle body line at the bottom of the door? Or am I thinking of a different truck model.

When you say they can order it do you mean a piece that they would still need to cut or the exact replacement?

Mid 95-97 has the small body line
