4X4 Manual/auto locking hubs

Hey guys, just bought my 2015 ford f350 crew cab xlt with the 6.2 gas. I upgraded from a f150 2wd.

My question, I have the ESOF in the super duty.

If the hubs are manualy engaged, do I have a stronger engagement to the axle as apposed to the vaccum?

No.

You will notice less clunk when running 4wd if you manually engage them at the hub first.

If I know conditions are gonna require 4wd, I manually engage them before I start my truck and the just bop in and out of 4wd as needed. During lousy winter conditions I leave them locked in till the roads clear up.

You don't have to manually lock them...but you should at least cycle them a couple times a year to keep them free.
