Be for you buy all the exspensive head light restoration stuff, a friend of mine told me to use bug spray, so I used repel with 40% deet the stuff works good try it and let me know what you think.

 

great tip. I have always been told to sand depending on what headlights your working on and to use clear coat in order for it to last but it depends on the headlight. sure know my headlights are hazy never herd of the bug spray before.

 

Will that keep the bugs off the headlights in the summer? I hate washing them off....

 

Hey projectSHO 89 I'm not sure on the bug spray keeping the bugs off but when I sprayed it on my head lights you could see what ever it is that forms on the liens start to run off. I used the kind with sand paper before witch worked but on my 97 f150 my liens has the little ***** that stick out making it hard to do a really good job. Try out the spray and let me know what you think.

 

My headlights are fine, I'm just trying to see if I can keep the bugs off them...
