Turn Signal Problem

Sometimes the left turn signal indicator light in the instrument panel stays on all the time when my headlights are on or when the parking lights are on. When this happens the front left turn signal and the rear left don't work, at least until today. Right now the indicator is lit up and neither front parking light is on but the rear turn signals work and the front left signal works.

P.S. When the headlight switch is off the turn signals all work fine.

What could be the problem?

I have the same problem. I've been told that the problem is reversed wiring at one of the bulbs. Make sure that all bulb sockets are wired identically. I rewired the whole truck and now have this problem. Just haven't made the time to look into it.

A buddy of mine put in new sockets and developed a similar issue. Checked the socket wiring and was able to fix it.

Yes I had this same problem and it was one of the sockets I replaced in the rear...crossed wires somehow.

The only thing is I've not replaced bulb sockets yet and have not crossed any wires. The signals have worked perfectly for more than 3 years until recently. I have bought new sockets for the front turn signal lights due to loose fitting bulbs but I have not installed them yet.
