Towing is really hard on a truck and most of the guys tuning are hard on the truck too. So you are disagreeing with a general statement based on your specific case, which could be the exception. Would you agree that most people tuning are harder on the trucks than people who aren't tuning?

I don't know enough about "most people" to make a judgement on how they treat their trucks. I just know that your statement doesn't apply to me and I'm sure there are plenty of others on here that wouldn't categorize themselves as truck beaters.

"Most people" is some place between 60% and 100% and they realize that people interested in getting more performance out of a truck have a reason for doing so. I didn't say "truck beaters". I said they tended to be harder on their trucks and that is not a "judgement," it is a reasonable conclusion. Just admit that tuning to tow, as you do, is harder on your truck than not towing at all and you got the answer for yourself...or you could live in denial and play word games with me.

Now if you are going to the track all the time and run a tune for the track I can see beating the truck to death. The way I would use a tune is for towing and also for spitited driving occasionally.

Nope. You're not interested for the right reasons and you don't add value. Go somewhere else troll.

Yes and Ford is the least aggressive tuner. It seems to me Ford is jumping in on the money. It also seems to me that many tuners will void the warranty. You might also note that Ford has the most expensive tuner too. Sorry, but this does not blow my mind.

I did a search on LET tuning and saw this video of a dyno run. The claim is 452HP 531TQ. Of course in the video they do not go into any detail on what ELSE is on the truck to achieve those results. Videos like this are misleading as they make you feel like you can just add a tune from them and achieve those results.

A guy on .net just posted his LET dyno tune from today. 170degree thermostat and 93 tune and it made 70+ hp and 140+ft/lbs. Pretty impressive.

Those are exactly the numbers LET told me when I asked. Good to see things consistent.

Prince, I think that truck has Solo down pipes, Wagner intercooler, thermostat, and either methanol or compressor wheels (I can't remember which).

Full Race just hit 500 RWHP on 91 octane with their new EFR turbo kit. The stock fuel system was at the limit. They are working on a fuel system upgrade because the turbos can support up to 1100 HP! LET is the tuner for Full Race.
