Thank you it's not a bad truck just a ugly duckling. I accomplish removing this much on Thursday after I got home from work. Hopefully I can get the dog house in primer by next weekend.

I plan to do a complete rebuild some day but for now just get this crap off and half azz primer it. I don't think I can make it look anymore worse than what it does lol.

Front of hood

took 45 min to clear this fender

I got this accomplished yesterday. It's just rattle can primer but better than rhino liner. (only driver side fender, hood, and cowl) Once I get my barn built I plan to do it the right way.

Nice truck! When I was a kid (16) my dad was going to buy 2 F100 one was a 53 and the other was a 54. Plan was to take the 2 truck and make one DD and redo the other from ground up. But he had to take a trip out of town for work. Talked to the owner and said he would be back on Saturday and the sold them to someone else.

Indybeer, hey, nice truck! I see you're in Danville! That's right down the road from me. I'm in Avon!

Keep up the good work on the old girl! I look forward to seeing your progress.

Thanks!

I picked up a complete wire harness kit from Mid-Fifty. Haven't had a chance to start installing it yet...need the weather to cooperate so I can paint the firewall on eng side before I start running wires.

Splash...that is IS A BRAKE PROBLEM and a half.

Thanks everyone for posting the pics. Nice to see what other folks have going on.

I managed some barn time on my 79 the other day. Swapped in 5:38 gears, posi's and 44's. I know your supposed to do this stuff in your twenties but I just had to do it once. I can barely get in the dern thing. This truck is gonna rip!!!!

Fabbing up a CM for a torque arm and should be at it next week. Trying to find a M101 trailer to use for a bed and am going to do some sort of cool fenders for the front. I did not trim enough off the fenders...yet.

Always have a few project....I can never just leave stuff alone. Here is one

And my other one

I am always messing with one or the other. The Taurus is more of a street legal track car. Van is my DD and tow/camping rig.

Jayro88 - wow, I haven't seen one of those old Taurus SHO's in a while! I had a buddy in college who had one. Quite the sleeper!

I'm planning to go pick up some used rims for my truck this evening. They're original Ford rims off of an '88 F150. They won't be mint, but should be way better than what's on my truck now! My truck needs a lot of things, but these wheels should really help improve the overall look!

Here's what I'm picking up:

And for comparison, here's what's on my truck right now:

(Sorry, I know the pics aren't the best.)

Anyway, the wheels come with tires, but the guy says they'll need to be replaced. That's ok because what I have needs to be replaced anyway. I'm thinking of getting ever so slightly oversized tires, just to give it a slightly beefier look. Don't want anything to crazy big.
