Misc questions on my 94 !

I finally broke done and purchsed a 94 f150 after wanting that body style for nearly 15 years!
As with anything I purchase, it needed work. The further I dig into the project, the more problems I come across! Most answers contradict themself when I search for answers.
My first questions is about the radio! The truck is missing the radio. When trying to install a cd player, there is nothing to mount the unit into the dash. I dont know what piece I am missing. The cd player just slides in and sits in the dash right now.
My second question is the steering column bearing. My steering wheel has the wiggles. I have seen a few things mention that a bearing goes bad but when I look it up I cant find the correct part number. Some sites say that its more than one bearing. Which is it?
My final question, for now.... what ujoints are recommended for the TTB front axle when rebuilding and what is the correct part number? Ive read a few differnt nimbers..

The aftermarket radio/CD unit, also known as a head unit, needs an installation "cage" or 'sleeve' to fit into the hole, something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PIONEER-Car-Audio-Stereo-Single-Din-Radio-Mounting-Sleeve-Cage-/261733127174?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cf0829406, where there are tabs you bend out to hold it in place. This cage or sleeve should have come with the aftermarket head unit; if it is missing you can get it from that manufacturer or you can purchase one on eBay, Amazon, etc., usually.

There is more than one bearing in the steering column. I believe Ford has obsoleted the parts but am not sure. What I am sure of is that they are available in the aftermarket; here's a sample kit: ford housing bearings brg230 upper bearing kit | Steering Column Services However, due to the expense, the pain in the **** required to replace them, and other factors, many people just go to the junkyard and pull another steering column out of another truck or even out of something like a same-year Crown Vic.

Can't answer the last one, not a TTB guy.

You need this white nylon bracket. It mounts to the back of the radio. There is a slide mount on above the radio that it goes on.

That only works on the stock radio.

Thanks! I found the bracket i needed at a junk yard!
Are you guys running camber/caster kits with a leveling kit or the stock setup? If stock, did you have trouble aligning it?

The steering column may need to be rebuilt. Kits are made, sold by Ford. It's a little tedious but if taken the proper amount of time, can be done. I would suggest doing the rebuild yourself if you can, I have seen the entire column as a replacement sell for $250 or so. Rebuild kit I bought was around $70.

That's not true. It works on all the aftermarket radios I have installed it on. Thats why it has a screw hole. The factory bracket is attached with tabs to the stock radio.
