blown head gasket. im now to the intake manifold. iv been told that i don't need the valley pan or any gaskets,just to use high temp silicone for the hole intake manifold.should i use the valley pan or take it back and use just RTV silicone with out any gaskets?

 

Personally I would put it back together the way it was. Can you do without valley pan? Probably, but some pretty smart engineers at Ford thought they were needed.

 

X2 on that. Use the valley pan. Get rid of the rubber end gaskets and use rtv there. The valley pan keeps hot oil off the bottom of the intake and helps seal the intake runner to.
