Crashed the Ex in November!

Glad to hear you are all good and glad the insurance company (assuming they played a role) decided to fix her rather than scrap her.
I am amazed a truck of this weight could hydroplane. When driving in crazy rains my truck feels so connected to the road but maybe the deep tread on my tires is also helping to disperse the water along with the weight.

My insurance paid for all repairs, but even if they didn't I would have! I think it went sideways due to multiple factors:
1. It was very heavy rainfall to where the highway was pooling on the road surface.
2. My tread was at about 25%.
3. When I hydroplaned, I could feel the truck get hit with a gust of wind.
4. I over corrected.
It was a bad spot on the road, shortly after the trooper arrived to do the report, 3 cars spent out in the exact spot. One after another maybe 10 seconds apart! It was a wild night!

With that many miles they must have flipped a coin on saving it.
